I’ve been quite busy over the past few months finishing my exams and I thought that after I’ve finished I would be back up and running; I was sadly mistaken. I appreciate all of my followers as well as the large amount of support I’ve gotten. However running this blog has taken a toll on my mental health slightly and I’ve been less motivated to post or even open the Tumblr app. Enough rambling though, here are my issues as to why I haven’t been motivated to post:
-Anti kin/kin hate: I understand people don’t like kin and/or don’t agree with it for various different reasons, however a lot of my posts have gotten more popular which has attracted more hate. It seems that every time I log on, I have to get rid of more and more hate that has been commented or reblogged on my posts. Its personally made me feel extremely bad for the simple thing of just doing what makes me happy and being what I want to be. It’s not as if being an angelkin is the only thing that defines me. I still have a fully functioning life and I’m entering 12th grade next year. (Which is at the start of February for me.) I have goals of being a paranormal investigator, a writer and an athlete. I am sure many people who identify as otherkin also feel that way. I would agree that there are definitely many extreme people out there but the majority of us are not extreme.
Sexualisation in the angel/demon community: I cannot scroll through the tags without seeing angelkin and demonkin thirsting over each other. There are minors within the tag, some as young as 13 (potentially even younger) going through these tags too. That isn’t my main problem though, really, its also the fact that angels and demons, in reality would not thirst over each other at all. A lot of the time the community seems like a joke rather than something to take seriously.
I might add more to the list later but this is honestly just me being an old grump. I’ll hopefully come back to Tumblr when I’m ready but for now I’m going to need time away from this site. I’m so sorry to all of those who have sent me private messages or asks. Once again, thank you so much for supporting me and.. Thank you for listening to all my useless complaining.💕

honestly, it seems like a joke, because it is a joke. tumblr kinnies have turned the community from something which was a way in which people explained the understanding of ones personal self, identity, or religion into some sort of fashion statement. the hate the kin community gets is well deserved because the community is toxic - you dont deserve the hate, of course, but its important to know why there is hate at all
a piece of media cannot be released without every kinnie crawling out of the woodwork to say “Oh im kin with XYZ!! I Suddenly have memories from this piece of media which i had no idea existed prior to 30 seconds ago!!!”
this extends to even communities like angelkin. its become some sort of fashion statement, something cool to identify as rather then an understood identity or religion which a person has critically thought about, akin to any mainstream religion. one should not say “im Muslim/Christian/Jewish/Buddhist/etc.” without understanding that that means. (while this does happen, its probably a reasonable belief that one should not call themselves a certain religion if they have little to no understanding of it)
even if somebody is an angel, sorry to break it to you, but you (universal you, not op specifically) probably arent Lucifer#653290, Michael, Gabriel, or whatever other cool angel you think you are. it makes zero sense that any of the most powerful angels on high would find themselves anywhere near earth other then to deliver messages - and even then, they arent human in this life or any others. in the same vein, just so people don’t shoot me - i also understand that my angel identity has the same possibility of being fake as any other person and i readily accept that.
additionally, the whole thirst for demons thing is just cringey as fuck and i bet dime a dollar that people are just doing it because its the cool thing to do right now. (in the same note, its also annoying as hell seeing all of the cross posting between demonkin, dollkin, etckin on the angelkin and related tags when the post has nothing to do with angels.)
While I’m rather new to the whole approach of incarnated angels, I can highly agree with this! (Despite not seeing much of what was listed, Angel x Demon aside.) I don’t have much to say but the fact that angels are completely pure energy and demons completely negative- While angels MAY feel a certain allure to demons considering how powerful negative energy is/The fact that demons were once angels themselves (In a theological sense), it should be far from anything romantic, much less NSFW. I’m actually quite terrified and uncomfortable with the thought of demons! The most it should come to is a joke, in no way should the servants of God- Incarnated or not- Be having relations with the ones who rebelled against him and run on a completely different agenda than them. Hope you don’t mind me putting my two cents into this!! ^^
